If the line came up within the 10 minute window, there's a couple possibilities. As others mentioned, it's most likely a chemical pregnancy. But sensitivity can vary between tests, so there's a slight chance that the test you took this morning was less sensitive than the one you took yesterday.

@mrs.someone: I think I'm going to pick up some more today and try again tonight, just to see what happens. Maybe I'm one of those that just has better tests at night :)

@ms.janedoe: I'm sorry that's the worst! I'm sure I'll look at it again, but it was pretty clear, even DH saw it without a problem. We asked ourselves about a hundred times if we're sure it's pink and not an evap line and we're pretty sure it is!

I also took my pre-natal pretty late the night before (and for those of you like me, they do pretty strange things to your wee) so maybe that has something to do with it? I have no clue, but fingers crossed it's not chemical. If it is I better stock up on tampons and tylenol because it's going to be a rough weekend!

Any chance your "positive" was really an indent on the FRER? I had 2 different FRERs (from 2 different lots) each give AWFUL indents that looked like faint positives...

@mrs.halfsie: Sorry to hear it disappeared :( But you're definitely not out until your period shows up. I've heard of people having better luck with non-FMU, so you never know.

That's what I'm thinking too. I've never tested before AF comes in the past, but I've had other signs of chemical pregnancies over the past year ttc. Thanks for your input!

Aw I'm so sorry. It sounds like you might have had either a false positive, or a chemical pregnancy. There is always still a chance you are pregnant until your period starts... but normally you are most likely to see a positive result with FMU.

Last night I took a FRER because this cycle has just been so different. I've been extraordinarily tired, IB, light cramping, etc - so I thought why not! When I tested my suspicions were confirmed with a very faint BFP. I got up the next morning to test with FMU, hoping the same result would show up again...and nothing. Maybe a faint shadow, but nothing I can feel confident in.

Has this happened to anyone else? What was the result?
