Thank you all for responding!

The flow of the bleeding is def like a period, so I'm starting to accept that this is not our month.. I'll wait and see how it evolves today and tomorrow, and call my doc to get things checked out.

It does sound like a chemical pregnancy, especially if your flow is like a period. I would call your doc to be on the safe side.

@mrsvdv: Have you tested again? I don't think the cramps and bright red spotting are good things but they may not be bad. Maybe call your doctor and ask for a beta?

I really hope I am wrong but, it does sound like a chemical. I just had one last month, so it is fresh in my mind. You probably would have gotten BFPs had you tested with a test that hadn't expired yet. My CP went a bit like that but I had positives for several days followed by one negative and then bleeding the next. From what I have read, it's not the cramping that is an issue, it's the flow of the bleeding. Like you, my period was bright bright red (like I had cut myself) and very clotty. I wish you all the best.

My period was due on Monday, it didn't show but I tested negative. Tuesday morning went the same. Wednesday morning again a BFN. These were all regular tests that were still lying around from TTC with DS1 18 months ago. During my lunch break yesterday I got an early result test and got a line - not super dark but it's there. But then last night I started cramping and bleeding. It's heavier than spotting, but it's also bright red and my period usually isn't like that.
Is this a chemical pregnancy? Do I just wait it out and test again in a few days? The cramping is not a good sign, right?
Any insight or advice is much appreciated, I'm a little worried about what's going on!
