I just stripped mine per cotton babies instructions. We have a top loader, so it was just a tablespoon of dawn in one hot wash, and two more hot washes after that. It really fluffed up my microfiber.

If you are having leaks all the time, it's either time to strip, or a fit issue!

I had some leakage issues, could be due to detergent build up. Do you do the monthly bleach wash as BG recommends? You could try that, or "stripping" them as many moms I found online recommend - which basically boils down to soaking them in some Dawn dish soap and then washing them like 5-6 times to really get all the built up detergent out.

Have you stripped them? Are they on the right size for the rise and width? Are the inserts soaked after a leak or is it coming out the sides?

Those have been my issues previously. Hope you find a solution!

I've been using our pocket diapers for 23 months now with relatively little leakage issues. In the past two weeks we've had so many leaky diapers I don't even know where to begin. We tried doubling the inserts to see if that helped, and it did improve marginally, but not totally.

Any thoughts? I'm about to switch to disposables because I'm so tired of wet clothes and toddler pee all over me.
