I've had it completely unsnapped since around 6-7 months, which was about 18 pounds and 28 inches. With it snapped down I felt it was pinching her chunky thighs. We're at nearly 10 months now and crawling up a storm, and we do have occasional leaks out of leg hole so perhaps I need to try snapping back down. @jetsa: thanks for that tip!

My son is 7.5 months, 20.5 lbs and 28" and we're on the middle rise at home, daycare uses the diapers completely unsnapped. Neither causes leaks so I think a lot of it is preference. I'd read somewhere that as they get mobile you could have to snap the rise back down because they'll lean out a bit from the chunky baby size.

We stayed at the middle snap for a long time. I think she was close to 28lbs or more before we opened them up.

DS is 29 in tall, and weighs 20 lbs. We're on the middle setting with no issues.

My DS has been on the highest setting for a loooooong time, but wears it snapped in really far. He's 14m old, but 28lbs. That being said, he's also almost 3' tall (so, tall and thin). I think it truly depends on the build of your child, not just the weight.

LO still wears one at night and we are still on the 17-22lb snap setting at 28lbs. We get leaks when the diapers are completely unsnapped.

When did you completely open up your diapers to the biggest size?

Age, size, or both?

I just looked on the BG website and saw this picture (below). DD is about 24lbs and it looks like it's time to open them up! I had opened a few up before, and am finding the bulk of my stash (still snapped down) aren't coming high enough on her, however we're not having leaks.
