I had some of those but threw them away after a couple of feedings. I felt like I couldn't get them clean. We use bibs that my MIL made out of dish towels. They are awesome! You can kind of see it in this picture.

We have a bunch of different kinds, but my favorite are the cheapo fabric ones from Ikea. I just toss them in the wash and haven't had any issues.

Once we started purees I noticed mold growing on certain bibs. Totally grossed me out! We use plastic bibs now for feedings, and I wash her soft bibs twice a week, which she needs because she spits up a lot. I find that it they sit longer than a few that I might find one with spots. I wash the bibs on hot and treat each spot with dreft stain remover.

I third the bumkins superbibs. I have a few from BRU, but found more at Big Lots for like 2 bucks a piece! They wash really well and are very soft for being plasticized.

We used to use bumkins and baby bjorn. Never had a problem with mold with those. We had other ones where it was terry cloth in the front. We did find mold on those after a while. Very gross.

We have the bumkins bibs. You can put them in the wash to thoroughly clean them. Costco sells a big pack of them for $27.

@autumnlove: bumkins bibs are the best!! Seven years of use and the ones at work are still goin strong! Can't say that about most baby items that get daily use!

Thanks for letting us know! We started with the baby bjorn bibs but recently started using the bumkins bibs that look similar to the one you showed, so I'll definitely watch for that. Gross!

We have a bib in the same material like that, but I don't think it's that brand...I wonder if that one may have an issue eventually as well, as I would think it would be about materials rather than a company.

We had a really nice bib from marimekko w a wipeable surface, but it also grew mold. It's happened to all my friends, so I think it's a common (unavoidable?) problem. We now use the plastic baby bjorn bib. No sign of mold, we can rinse or wash w soap if necessary.

We have these bibs that are fabric with a washable surface on the front. Unfortunately, I found one has mold in it now. Really freaked me out because M likes to eat her bibs. :-\ I tried reaching the company but I'm really not sure if I'm finding the right place. I may just contact Target and let them know about it. I attached pictures of the bib and manufacturer in case you have the same ones.

On that note, what soft bibs do you use and like? I have one of the stiff babybjorn ones but am looking for something soft like these.
