I have a friend with this exact issue and she buys boots that fit on the foot and takes them to a local cobbler who fits them to her leg. Usually the calves are so wide. I tried so many pairs at the nordstrom anniversary sale. I ended up only keeping one- these ones but in leather. It looks like they may make some 12s! Hard to even know what to try because the only measurements they list are those for size 6 or 8. They seem to assume that bigger feet = bigger calves. The size 8 measurements would be fine for me but the size 12 is like 4 inches wider in the calf. I would look at boots that have adjustable straps so you can make them tighter in the shaft (and looser if wearing thick socks.)<br /> I have these Clark's Mulling Spice.
