Such a bummer! I had one off and on during pregnancy/postpartum. Fiber and Kegels help. But if I don't get enough fiber and have to strain, it sometimes returns...I don't know if they ever truly disappear?

Major tmi from me. Mine did bleed and there was some bizzare disharge too (eeeww). Then suddenly it disappeared between 4 and 5 months. I was too embarrassed to go to the doc. I just kept hoping it would go away and it finally did.

Eat fiber, drink lots of water, and use Preparation H (or the generic brand, doesn't matter) after every time you have a bowel movement and before you go to bed. I've won the genetic lottery in that I've gotten hemorrhoids off and on since middle school (yeah, awesome) so I'm quite familiar with the routine. If they get really bad you should go to the doctor, but try the routine I mentioned for two weeks first. It usually takes mine about two to three weeks to go away.

It doesn't hurt to go to the doctor. I went for a hemorrhoid before (before I ever had a baby), they gave me some suppositories to help it. My grandma swears by Preparation H. She bought me some postpartum, but I never used it. Mine went away fairly quickly though. Other than that, are you eating a lot of fiber and drinking lots of water?

No advice but I can't believe you're blaming this on Sadie. She's too cute to be responsible for this....or stretch marks...or weight gain...or hair loss...or any of that.

I totally started a thread on this when DS was probably 5 or 6 months because I was sooooo horrified and it was such a TMI post! Seriously like 5 months out I felt like I was occasionally pooping glass still! I kept using tucks and it eventually went away ...but omg, seriously, i was mega-horrified for a couple months there!

I didn't know if I should put this is PP or your health, but since this is all Sadie's fault, I'm sticking it in PP.

I know you don't want to, but talk to me about your PP hemorrhoids. What is normal? Will it EVER go away? When should I see a doctor?

I had never in my life had a hemorrhoid until I gave birth. I got a big doozy of a rhoid from pushing. I could definitely feel it in the beginning, but it didn't seem so bad with FrankenVag swollen to the size of a cabbage. It finally went away at about 3 weeks PP, and I thought we were done with that unfortunate side effect. Except, starting at about 6 weeks when everything else had settled down, the demon rhoid returned. Now, at 15 weeks/3.5 months, it comes back every time I #2 more than once a day. And, it's actually getting more painful. No blood, but lots of ouch.

I know you don't want to know about my butt, but I need to know that I'm not the only one with this issue. Or, if I am, I need to go to the doctor. But, y'all, I really don't want someone messing around down there. :(
