Yeah, if she doesn't have a baby doll she likes, it's a great idea. Toddler girl loves making Stella do whatever the baby is doing! She's constantly stealing baby clothes for her, which is harder now that Wonder Baby is so big...Stella doesn't fit her clothes very well anymore.

@junebugmama's idea is great! our pediatrician actually suggested this to help with the adjustment.

We are thinking about getting our boy a pet bunny. I know that is crazy.

We actually had the baby give him a gift. When he got to the hospital we told him that LO had brought a gift with him. It was his own baby. It came with bottles, diapers, wipes and what not, so when I was taking care of my baby, he could be taking care of his. He also chose to breast feed though, so only my husband feeds both of our babies bottles LOL!

We got DS a few items to keep him occupied at the hospital coloring books, crayons and this toy was a big hit:

http://m.melissaanddoug.com/magnetic-dress-up-playsets

We also let him open up a gift that get got for Christmas that we hadn't gotten around to putting it together (a fire house) but maybe a doll house in your case?

DD will be 29m when LO#2 arrives. I want to get her a "big sister" gift but am not sure what; since we are team green I can't do matching shirts.

I've thought of getting her a build-a-bear gift card and asking my parents to take her to the store when I'm in the hospital but am not thrilled with that idea (don't think she'll understand the whole gift card thing and make the connection). I've also thought about getting her a little backpack and filling it with coloring supplies and stickers.

Suggestions would be appreciated.
