We've been in a gap from 3-6 to 6-12 lately. I've been finding that for pajamas, separates are really good for this period. They tend to run narrower than 1 piece pjs. And I always go to footless pjs at the tail end of a size range.

As for clothes, I just let her wear things either loose and rolled, or fitted and short. Dresses become tops and I don't mid longer leggings, which can be folded or scrunched (and don't fall over her feet). I've been liking tights under dresses too.

I was complaining about this today in Old Navy. R is about to grow out of 3-6mths but there is no way 6-12mths will fit.

Seriously, how is one garment suppose to fit for 6 months?

No solution here, just commiserating haha

This! My LO is long too. The 6-12 footed sleepers from BG are almost too snug but she is swimming in the 12-18.

DD basically only wears leggings because she's got long legs and smaller hips. She's 9 months, wears 9 mo tops and 12-18 mo leggings most days. We have 18 mo pants-pants for her but they are enormous. I would roll the cuffs if I were in your spot.

We had this issue I just rolled and hand stitched thre stitches on each side so they stayed cuffed.

This was us a month ago. So annoying! Luckily L bridged the gap quickly. She wore a 6-12 romper on Monday and it just barely fit, five days later it was ridiculously short. Hello growth spurt.
We bought her two pairs of two piece pjs with elasticized ankles, they were too long for a bit, but now fit better.

I also noticed that Kohl's Jumping Beans brand pants run on the bigger side. He's perfectly in 12 month pants for them and 18 month shirts!

I'm in a similar situation - for the most part the width on 12-18 months just won't work for us, so I'm layering long socks/boots or leg warmers over pants that are getting a bit short. Tights are also more forgiving than pants so we've been doing lots of wooly tights/leggings in the bigger sizes layered w/ lbs onesies/tees and a dress, topped off with a loose sweater.

Carter's makes some styles of legging that are really skinny, and their tight pjs run skinny but long too, so we are using 9-12 month sizes from them to fill the 6-12 / 12-18 gap in some of our favorite brands. I don't have any 12-18 baby gap pjs that are long, so not sure about those.

It's a tricky size jump for sure - I'm glad that where we live it won't be cold for long; short dresses./skirts/shirts are so much more manageable.

Yes! We're having this issue right now. LO is 13.5 months and he's hovering in between 6-12 and 12-18 months in sizes. The pants are especially a problem since 6-12 are floods on him, but 12-18 we have to roll 3 times to get them to the length he needs. Shirts don't seem to be as much of a problem.

R has always been long and I've been okay with her wearing tighter things to make the clothes last a little longer, but her pants were getting a bit ridiculous lately in the 6-12 size (way too short!), so i got all the 12-18 sizes out, including her pjs, which were totally pulling at the feet and neck before.

now the 12-18 sizes (BG, ON, carters stuff), i have to roll the pants and the pjs are so long that her feet get caught. i have some carter's 12 month stuff, but i don't want to get a whole new wardrobe in that!

anyone else have an issue with this size jump? what did you do to fill in the gaps?
