We see a lot of people doing it here in Germany. The only downside is you cannot lay them flat but if they don't nap in the stroller it shouldn't be a problem.

@mrs. wagon: I have a friend in a nanny share and their nanny uses this for both babies. My friend and her husband bought it because they bike a lot and didn't want to buy a bike trailer AND a double stroller for nanny share.

I don't know about the baby jogger one but the one a family I worked for had was a royal pain to fold. We brought it to the zoo one day and had to shove it in the car without folding it and then couldn't see out the rear view mirror. I like it well enough for around the neighborhood and theirs has lots of space for groceries or pool stuff which is convenient. The kids are tiny (think falling off the charts small) and it still is cozy so I would make sure to try it with both kids in there to see how much space you'll have.

I have a few friends who use this option and it works well for them. It'll probably work for you guys since they're no longer infants.

We use our bike trailer as a stroller sometimes, but it's pretty infrequent. We use it more as a jogger though. It is nice that they can interact but there is definitely some fighting and elbowing during the ride.

I wouldn't personally because I need my stroller's storage basket, and my baby is still too young, but I see a lot of people doing this, especially at the zoo or the big city parks.

Does anyone use a bike trailer as a stroller? We're thinking about getting the Baby Jogger Pod even though we don't bike... but we like the idea of the jogger wheel and stroller wheels that you can get instead of the bike hitch. I really like the idea of the two kids being enclosed in a pod where they can watch a video together and share snacks (if they don't fight too much!!).

We are a suburban family so we don't use a double stroller too often, so this would be for long days out or walking around the neighborhood.
