@winniebee: well kind of... tonight will be a week. And he still cries for 30-40 minutes before falling asleep. But he actually STAYS asleep. I really thought he'd be done crying now... I hope it comes soon.

@Coco Bee: That's awesome that sleep training is working out for you!

@banana: Yesterday he had a 2.5 hour morning nap....but then didn't have anything more than a 30 minute nap from there on out (due to circumstances). He didn't sleep as well as night so now I'm not sure if it's due to the long nap or the poor afternoon napping!

Yeah, if my son takes a super long nap, he has trouble falling asleep at night. I used to also think "never wake a sleeping baby" but with my son, we have to wake him up if he naps longer than 2 hours because then he has a lot of trouble sleeping at night.

@winniebee: that's insane. The longest DS has ever slept is 8 hours, but now he is consistently sleeping 7.5 hours since we started sleep training.

At 3 months DS went thru a major regression and would only sleep 2-3 hours!

@Coco Bee: He JUST started doing this....as in on his 3 month birthday he slept 9 hours. The week prior he totally regressed and was getting up every 2-3 hours! Prior to that he was going for a 5-6 hour stretch, max.

LO probably slept 9-10 hours last night. She usually gets 11-12. So she's been napping like a champ today. She's been sleeping for 2+ hours.
I've never woken my LO one.. sleep is precious!

DS did that... only it would just mess up his subsequent nap. He often takes a 2.5 hour nap in the morning, then 2 hours later will only take a 45 minute nap.

On a sidenote your son is two months younger than mine and I cannot believe he sleeps almost 8 hours already!!! That's insane. DS JUST started doing that this past week.

Does your LO ever do what I like to call "binge nap"? Like nap not well one day but then take a super long nap the next? As in more than 2 hours? I'm in camp "never wake a sleeping baby" but I do notice (at least for the past week or so) when DS takes a super long day nap he doesn't sleep as well at night. He slept 9-4:30 then 5-8 today and went down for a nap at 9 and has been sleeping since (it's 11:30!).

When your LO is taking a super long nap do you just let em sleep?
