After my insurance, our out of pocket expense is $940. (that is including our deductible). If we opt for the birthing tub, they charge an additional $170. It really depends on your insurance but my cost was $3500 no matter the provider. My open enrollment period for work is this week and I'm trying to figure out how much money to set aside in my health savings account. If I conceive easily and have a low risk pregnancy, I'd rather have a midwife/ birth center birth. How much does this cost? Does insurance cover anything? Is a birth center birth a qualified expense for a heath savings account? Thanks! </p>
