I can never remember to take the pill, and my husband and I both despise condoms, so that won't work. The only thing I found was that I was hopeless at remembering to take it! I blame Mom brain! I had to set multiple reminders on my phone. This is usually tough for women to do in general (myself totally included), let alone a new mom! So if you are on it and administration times vary from day to day, your chances of getting pregnant shoot way up.</p> <p>After our first baby, I got Mirena. I'm overweight and that can diminish the efficacy of birth control pills in general.
