I got the hormonal IUD about 5 months ago and it is great so far. Minimal periods (I spot for maybe a day), I do not have to think about it for 5 years and I can have it removed if we want to try for a third. The amount of hormones is also considerably less than with the pill.

Hubby did feel the string for the first couple of months and he said it was almost painful at times, but it softens up.

I recommend asking your OBGYN for information about risks/benefits. They did a study and of women who work in family planning or related fields, a majority use the IUD. My primary care doctor also has one and enthusiastically recommended it to me.

i was on the ring and loved it! I am terrible at remembering to take pills daily...after this LO I will go on something longer term while we decide if the baby factory is done - then someone will get fixed.

I'm currently on the mini-pill but prior to pregnancy was on the nuvaring and loved it. You only have to worry about it once a month and can skip periods.

I'm looking for opinions on what kind of birth control to try. I'm on Yasmin and I've had a lot of problems with both bleeding in-between periods and longer cycles. I also have had more painful cramping and heavier bleeding. I've also tried Jolessa and Yaz with similar problems.

We are pretty sure we're done having kids. We are talking about my husband getting a vasectomy soonish. I plan to not take birth control once he has it done and they check to make sure it worked as I soon to do better without hormones.

I did so well with the mini pill but I've heard it's not as effective. I also got pregnant on Depo so I probably don't want to do that. My husband was asking about an IUD, but that seems longer term than what I need.
