We had it at our house, just in case I went into labor before, and we wouldn't lose a deposit somewhere. Had I gone into labor the only money we would have "lost" would have been the cake. I know that sucks, but my LO would definitely be really really upset if we cancelled her party because her baby brother was coming. 3 year olds can't understand that you have no control over that, they just know they aren't getting their party. My LO2 is due ten days after LO1's bday, but we're having her party 12 days early, so I'm hooing the 22 day buffer will be enough! I am totally not worried about the party assuming that I am still pregnant. I would be worried about having a party with a newborn, considering that it would be outside and I would still be figuring out nursing...although the party would only be about 2 hours and a newborn would prob sleep through the whole thing. I think I would plan to have it the day you are thinking and have everything ready, and if you need to reschedule for a later date if LO2 comes early then do that.
