I did it in the dining area (i have an open concept main floor) so i didn't have to worry about couches getting drawn on. But i'm pretty lax about my kids bringing markers to the living area because they're pretty good. Also, there was always a parent watching their kid anyways (since they are 2 yrs old). We had over 20 people in total and it definitely felt crazy in our small house. I think we're just going to make it a big play date rather than hiring some entertainment. We will probably have less than 10 kids and about 20 adults.
