We're pretty solidly on one nap from 11 to 1 or 12 to 2. Somewhere in that range, so same as you. He's almost 21 months and I'll still give him a morning nap if we need to do something that conflicts with his normal naptime. Then I'll give him a much later nap that day.
So for example, last weekend we wanted to go to lunch with friends that we rarely see. So I put him down at 9 AM and he woke up around 1030. We went to lunch around noon and then he went down for a nap from 3 to 4. It just shifted everything a little bit later so bedtime was closer to eight than seven. But it always works well for us and doesn't throw things off too drastically so we can still get back on track the next day.

So that would be my vote :-)

I'd probably just let her push on and take a late nap. But any chance you can still change the time? If there are any toddlers coming, that will be right in the middle of their nap times...

I'd get her up early enough for her to be tired for an am nap. Then put her down too. We had the same problem for Ts birthday party.

Sooo, H was on a solid 1-2 naps at that age (transitioning to one at daycare) and totally did not nap at all. She was a bit of a mess at her party because of all the people, but I just wore her a bit and then she was okay.

For both my kids, they seems to understand the day was about them and they had no interest in napping, they just wanted to be party animals!

@MrsBrewer: Yea I would try for a nap or even a quiet low key car ride so that she can rest and be ready for the action of the party.

@snowjewelz: I guess if all else fails, I will tell DH to go for a drive with DD while I'm getting ready for the party! A car ride is a for sure nap! Thanks for the suggestions!

@MrsBrewer: Yeah, so that's why I'd def force that nap otherwise she'd prob be a mess later on with all the attention and activity going on! You can only pray and hope that they go along with your plans, lol!!

@snowjewelz: Yea, my DD party will be at my SIL's house, and I'm sure we can put her down in a quiet bedroom or just have someone hold her truthfully! I will probably be there early in the day with my DD to start decorating and getting ready.

So true that it's only 1 day, but I just want her to be in a good mood, and not crabby pants for the party!

@MrsBrewer: I was going to suggest that too, haha! DD wasn't on one nap then, but was probably napping later and I believe I just kinda forced her to go down slightly earlier since she still had to wake up and we had to travel to the location for her party. Then she was way too hyper and slept really late for her 2nd nap, but oh well! It was one day.

@snowjewelz: The party is on the 11th, so like a week and a half out.

Yup great idea to tire her out. and I hate to even suggest this....but maybe I could wake her up an hour early or so that morning so she wants to nap around 9:3-10ish.

How far out is the party?

Assuming you're busy prepping for the party, can someone else tire her out in the morning and kinda force the morning nap so she can be happy at the party? Afterwards she might even nap early if she's exhausted!

So when I planned DD 1st birthday party she was on a solid 2 naps per day, they were like clock work. Well just when we got comfortable little miss decided to change things up! I think she's right at the point of dropping her morning nap, and sleeping from 11-1ish...give or take an hour. If it's earlier, she will normally take a quick nap at 4-5.

But here is the problem, when I scheduled her party, I made it from 11-2. HA! So do I try and have her take an early nap, and then have another later nap that day? Do I just let her push through, and crash when she needs to? ugh....I hate having to deal with baby naps, and events with structured times! HAHAHHA
