Thank you girls for all of your suggestions. I'm crazy and doing a noon start time. 12-3. but its closest friends, so they can stay as late as they want. My girl still does a morning nap, so i plan to nap her good in the morning, and she can skip afternoon.

As for other kids... its so hard to coordinate with everyone's naps. So just come when you can!

I’d do 10:30-12:30. Between or before naps for most kiddos.

10:30 or 11 start time. When my kids are on the two nap schedule I like an 11 start time. Kids on one nap will have to head home at around 12:30. You can do 10:30 start time and some families on two naps can arrive a little late.

That's a hard one because the 2 nap schedule conflicts so dramatically with the 1 nap schedule. However, at age one, most kids can skip or push their morning nap if need be, so I would go for a morning party, 10-1 or 9:30-12:30.

I’d do 10:30. It would give everyone enough time to arrive mingle and eat lunch at 11 and hopthave the party done by nap time.

I’d say 10 am...gives me enough time not to rush in the morning and be on time for the party and preserves regular nap schedule.

We did 12-2pm for DD1's 1st birthday. She didn't go down to 1 nap till 15 months, so I think I just made her nap early/on time, and then nap again after the party.

Then for DD2's 1st birthday, it was joint with her sister and I think we did 4-6pm.

I love late morning parties that include lunch at the end! Doesn’t mess with naps, lunch is covered, and you’ve got the rest of the day to get stuff done.

Oooh, that’s tricky. If the 1 year old is down to 1 nap, I’d probably have a brunch party at 10am, or else do a 4-6 deal.

What do you think is the best time for a 1st birthday that will have lots of other one year olds and 2-5 year olds at the party?
