Sounds like I'm the only one! He wears footed jammies with a onesie and socks under, then a blanket on top.

In the winter when RJ was first born, we'd swaddle him with a miracle blanket (with just a short sleeved onesie on underneath) and then tuck another blanket (usually a knit or fuzzy one) around the swaddle. He also wore a hat at all times.

Now we just do cotton pajamas and a cotton sleep sack on warm nights, fleece sleep sack on cold nights.

She was swaddled for the first four months with the Aden and Anais blankets. Now we just put her in a sleep sac.

It depends if it is the summer or winter and how warm you keep your house. My daughter has always been fine in footed pajamas and a sleep sack blanket. We keep the temperature in her room at about 71 degrees.

We had the summer swaddleme blankets for her. It was summer so we didn't want to put too much on her.

the general rule of thumb is one more layer than you're wearing. with olive we put her in a footed romper, a swaddleme (similar to miracle blanket), then an aden and anais swaddle blanket.

charlie sleeps in a long sleeve onesie, pajama pants, and a merino kids wool sleep sack.

My mom taught me (1) to layer - they can wear a onesie under a sleeper, or a onesie/sleeper inside of a larger sleep sack. She thinks a baby should have a hat, onesie, and socks at all times :) And (2) the baby will feel similar to you, at least at home - if you're cold, they're probably cold, and if you're too warm, they probably are too. This is, of course, barring a preemie. I was kind of surprised since I always thought babies needed to be kept warmer.

With my nephew, SIL generally just kept him in a sleeper and a swaddle blanket at night.

They were swaddled when they were new borns so I would adjust how many blankets to swaddle based on the temperature. I also did onesies plus sleep gowns.

I know babies aren't supposed to have blankets in their cribs but I am afraid my baby will be too cold! Did your newborn sleep with just a onesie and Sleepsack type wearable blanket?
