The OB told her to wait until the next day for her appointment. After a bit she had a gut feeling something was wrong and called the OB back and told her she was going to the hospital. She ended up having a placental abruption and had her baby early (she ended up being fine). Not exactly the same, since I knew the cause, but I had really heavy bleeding after a cervical check (which didn't even really hurt when the doctor was doing it). TMI, but like my pants were soaked through with blood afterwards. Apparently if a blood vessel to the cervix just happens to pop, from physical activity, sex, checks, etc, it can cause a lot of bleeding because that area is getting a ton of blood flow...</p> <p>I hope your back feels better soon. She would use the KT tape if I knew I was going to have a particularly busy week/weekend. </p> <p>Also, were you checked for a UTI? Sorry for the cliffhanger, I got home and was exhausted.<br /> They have no idea why I bled so much, but cervix is closed, fluids look good, no contractions and most importantly baby looked happy in there. So I’m supposed to just take it easy for a couple of days and monitor it. I stay home with a 3yo so not sure how that will happen :silly: but at least for today DH will work from home in the morning. </p> <p>I am also concerned about my level of back pain so maybe I’ll start another thread about that. I keep wiping and it’s always there. Not like the initial wipe but way more than spotting.<br /> I just got out of a bath because my back has been killing me. But I did a lot of walking today too.<br /> No sex for a couple of weeks now. So it can’t be that.<br /> I called my on-call OB line but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this and what the outcome was (ie nothing, went to hospital, early labor, etc). </p> <p>Thanks! </p>
