Which makes so much sense. I asked my doc about it and they ran a handful of tests for “bad” things that could cause it. They all came back negative so I was diagnose with a friable cervix. I think that’s just the catch all term for a sensitive cervix that bleeds a lot. I had mentioned it to my OB and she wasn't worried about it. I’ve had it happen during pregnancy but recently it has been happening every time and it seems like the amount of blood is increasing. We are only having sex a couple times a month so it’s been slow to cause me any concern, but the last time it was a large amount of blood that totally soaked through comforter and sheets, and it wasn’t close to when I’d be expecting my period. </p> <p>I’m about 3 years out from my last gyno exam, and probably 4 from my last Pap smear (pretty sure I had one when newly pregnant with my last baby who is 3 now!), so I did call to schedule that and when I told them about this they scheduled an ultrasound too. </p> <p> Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this because Dr. Google is not my friend! </p>
