@anonabee: so glad they figured it out! I had one after my first was born and put up with it WAY too long before going in - like you, quick removal, spotted a couple days from the removal and then done (and ended up benign).

If anyone finds this via search in the future, just wanted to update it was a large cervical polyp! Which makes so much sense. They were able to remove it in the office and sent it for biopsy but said 99% of the time they are benign.

@josina: @JennyPenny: thanks for sharing this was fine for you!

@lisa1783: Hope it ends up being nothing for you! I find it so hard to make my own doctor appointments while making sure my kids are all on track for doctors and dentists! But definitely need to make it a priority.

I’m scheduled for two weeks from now so will cross my fingers until then!

I'm experiencing this right now and took this as a sign to call my OB and schedule my annual. I had my Nexplanon implanted in December last year (2019) and she thinks this is probably related to that but thank you for posting this as a sign for me just to be sure.

I bled during/after sex pretty regularly after #2 was born. I asked my doc about it and they ran a handful of tests for “bad” things that could cause it. They all came back negative so I was diagnose with a friable cervix. I think that’s just the catch all term for a sensitive cervix that bleeds a lot. Sounds like your doc is going to do some tests too, so hopefully you get a (good) answer soon.

I used to have bleeding after sex (a small amount) quite often, and had large amount of blood during sex once around 8 weeks pregnant (didn't end up being anything related to the pregnancy). I had mentioned it to my OB and she wasn't worried about it. It hasn't happened in a long time.

Hopefully your OB can get you some answers and it's nothing major!

(Going anonymous because this is super TMI)

Has anyone experienced bleeding during or after sex while NOT pregnant? I’ve had it happen during pregnancy but recently it has been happening every time and it seems like the amount of blood is increasing. We are only having sex a couple times a month so it’s been slow to cause me any concern, but the last time it was a large amount of blood that totally soaked through comforter and sheets, and it wasn’t close to when I’d be expecting my period.

I’m about 3 years out from my last gyno exam, and probably 4 from my last Pap smear (pretty sure I had one when newly pregnant with my last baby who is 3 now!), so I did call to schedule that and when I told them about this they scheduled an ultrasound too.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this because Dr. Google is not my friend!
