Thanks for the reminder! We only have blinds on two windows in our entire house, but of course one of those is in the nursery. I'll talk to DH today about replacing them! Maybe since he's working on painting it today that will make him more interested in getting it really "finished" with a better window covering.

Yikes! So scary! Roman shades are the best. I wish we had them everywhere, but at the moment only in LO's room.

I am sure everyone knows that corded blinds are a huge choking hazard, but I wanted to remind to everyone PLEASE tie up your cords, no matter where they are. This afternoon my LO was playing in a window seat in our house and took the blind cord and intentionally placed it around her neck (like a necklace? I have no idea why). I was sitting right next to her, so I took it right off and tied the cord up.

Obviously, I know blinds are dangerous and the ones that she can reach by herself are either cordless or tied, but watching her basically make a noose for herself really hammered home that this is exactly how accidents that we don't think can happen to us happen and that ALL blind cords need to be tied up or replaced with cordless versions.

So yeah, tie those cords!
