Mainly because when I decided to start a blog (still trying to figure out why I did in the first place!) it seemed the easiest as I was pretty plugged into Google (gmail/chat/etc.). It's more for building/designing websites, but it has a blog feature as well. I really like how customizable it is and how easy it is to use. Plus it's free!
