Mine was 128/74 today, which I believe is a bit high but has been holding steady the entire pregnancy. I just had blood drawn for my platelets today and so far there are not concerns about pre-clampsia, which I have been worried about. Just 6 weeks left so hopefully I can hold out!

I usually have really low blood pressure but at the end of my pregnancy started to develop pre-e, it was 150/110 around there, I had protein in my urine and low platelets. I was hospitalized a few times but when I was 'resting' (laying on left side in the dark not doing anything lol) it would lower a bit. I was put on very strict bed rest but they did induce as soon as I hit 40 weeks exactly.
It stayed high while I was in the hospital after the birth and they kept me for 5 days.

I usually have low blood pressure. After the glucose tests my blood pressure would drop to like 70/55 and normally it's like 90-100/70-80. But a few days before I gave birth it went up to, hmmm, now I don't remember, but it was high for anyone but since there was no protein in my urine they weren't concerned and then baby appeared a few days later.

I actually had low blood pressure throughout pregnancy. Just wanted to wish your friend the best, hope she and her baby stay healthy!

@Jennimac: I had a huge problem with white-coat syndrome (I would freak out at the doctor and it would be way higher there than at home). They had me take it myself at home often, and I even managed to freak myself out there sometimes. It was still useful though because we could see a trend of it going up gradually through my pregnancy. But honestly it was one of the most frustrating parts -- I didn't know how worried I should be, and every doctor seemed to have a different opinion.

@chopsuey119:

Thanks for responding. I never quite know where people are number-wise in terms of blood pressure. Mine tends to be high whenever they take it, but I also freak out every time they take it. I know that I"m going to work on mine, but it's good to have an idea of what others dealt with and the outcomes.

I had pregnancy-induced hypertension, but it didn't develop into pre-e. Toward the end it could be 160/90ish sometimes. My doctor was comfortable letting me go until 39 weeks, at which point he wanted to induce.

My blood pressure's on the lower side. I think my last reading was 107/74 or something like that!

As some of you know, I have a friend in the hospital with pre-eclampsia. Also, several people have been posting about their high blood pressure at their latest appointment and they had to induce. My question is, what was your blood pressure reading? How high did it get?
