Yep, after my 40 week sweep and check I lost the whole gross plug/show. I got so excited but ended up being induced at 41+4 :bummed:

@travellingbee: @blackbird: @twodoghouse: I was definitely expecting bleeding, but I guess the tons of mucous plug caught me off guard. Nothing is really happening though, so who knows!

I had bleeding after a couple cervical checks, but I have a pretty sensitive cervix and usually bleed after pap smears. My bleeding did not mean labor (I had to be induced) but I hope it means good things for you!

I did when I had a cervical check at 39w4d. At first I thought it was from the exam but looking back, i think i was having my bloody show and starting to lose my mucous plug bc it continued until 40w exactly when my water broke and DD was born

I did after both of my sweeps but not regular checks. But my second sweep put me into labor later that night.

I bled after cervical checks. I had to get a quick cooling pad to put on my bits and a pad after them for the rest of the workday. I think I had two before I went into labor.

I always bled after my cervical checks. There's...a lot going on down there. It never put me into labor. But lots of engorged blood vessels, etc.

@yellowbird: I didn't feel any different after my morning appt. Went grocery shopping with DH, ate dinner out, etc. I started having mild contractions at 6am, kind of started picking up throughout the day but nothing of note. I showered, ate, etc. We went to the hospital at 5pm when I was still comfortably walking around through the contractions. Had DS the following day midday!

I'm 39 and 1 today. Yesterday my doctor checked me and I was 1cm (boo) she really dug around in there and said I would most likely have spotting. I had no spotting at all yesterday, but after showering and getting ready today I lost a ton of mucous and it was bloody and I've had some bleeding when I wipe today.

Anyone have experience with this after a cervical check?
