My DS weighs 18 pounds and has been in size 4 baby drys since he was about 16 pounds. I went up in size because of blowouts. We still have the occasional blowout but nothing like before. I find the weight ranges totally inaccurate.

I liked the softness of Swaddlers but found they puffed up a lot when wet and seemed to hold not as much pee.

I've only used 1 pack of Baby Dry. I didn't like them. Don't remember about the blowouts, but I have noticed size and fit vary from diaper types, even within the same brands. Sure, there are blowouts when LO outgrows a size, but I've always noticed blowouts a lot when we move UP a size and the leg holes are too big/loose. Just a thought.

I used baby dry in size 1 concurrently with a pack of swaddlers, and found we had tons of blowouts with the baby dry, and none with the swaddlers.

I didn't like the baby dry- I felt like they leaked more and gave her worse diaper rash. I ended up giving away most of the pack that we had. We use swaddlers.

We cloth diaper but use Baby dry diapers at night and for convenience when traveling. We also didn't start cd'ing until about 10 weeks. The only blow outs I ever had with DD were in her disposables. I just thought disposables were bad at retaining poop, but now you're making think maybe it's the brand we've always used!

We always have to size up way ahead of the weight limits. LO has a big tummy and thighs.

We've had lots of leaks recently and just went up a size even though M was still within in the weight range. If you look at the weight ranges for the different sizes they usually overlap quite a bit to factor in the individual body types.

I would go up a size.

A is just barely 18 pounds and is in a size 4...I don't go by the weight on the package because it doesn't usually line up for us.

I think it is usually size. I found the weight ranges in accurate fir the most part.

When we have blow outs after blow outs it is usually because she needs to go up a size. I don't really follow the weight suggestions. I just go by how they fit LO. I like them up high on the back and enough of a overlap on the tabs.

A friend of ours recently gave us a BULK (222 count) box of Pampers Baby Dry Diapers. I've actually never used these before - only have bought the Swaddlers or Cruisers.

So LO is a big baby - 4.5 months but right around 18 lbs. The box says its for babies up to 28 lbs...so I thought it was fine.

But we've had blow out after blow out after blow out with these. I'm wondering if its the Baby Dry version of the diaper (maybe they are shaped differently than the ones I've used) or is it that LO needs to go up a size even though he's under the max weight suggested?

The blowouts really started to happen when we used these diapers..

anyone else have this issue with the Baby Dry's?
