Hi, my son has blueish green speckles on his tongue too, surrounded by a white patch located on the middle to back section of his tongue. He just saw a pediatric dermatologist who diagnosed him with dermal melanocytosis -- a.k.a., Mongolian spots on his tongue. He has Mongolian spots on his bottom too. This "birthmark" still makes me nervous however because it does not look like a birthmark -- it looks like a thick white milk residue on his tongue speckled with blue spots. It does not appear to bother him in anyway. Did you eventually receive a diagnosis for your child? Could you re-post a picture? I just want to make sure the docs are getting this right. Thanks!

I think I will call the pediatrician. Her tongue is white with milk, but the center has this blue-ish spot. I googled it and other people have asked about it too, but never got an answer to what it is.

Could it be a mongolian spot?

Baby Z is exclusively breast fed and I noticed that the center of her tongue looks a little blueish.

Any one seen this before? Wondering what this could be!
