I've gotten strawberries from Burpee both as seeds and as a grown plant, and they all did very well. They don't take long to fruit, so even if you start them late the first year, you should get a good crop the next year!

We got ours at nourse farms - my husband called our local orchard and asked where they got their plants. Strawberries will produce right away (and spread like wildfire if they're not in a container) but blueberries take about 3 years to start producing a decent yield.

Does anyone have a reco of where to get blueberry and strawberry plants online? I would like some that I can let grow from a big pot this summer then lay dormant over the winter and plant in the ground the following spring.

Our growing season is VERY short here so the nurseries wouldn't start getting them till late May/early June. I'd rather get one online that can survive in our zone and start them small indoors in a sunny spot.

Thanks!
