I believe (this is from memory but I know it can be googled) that babies need 1.5 - 2 oz (could be 1 to 1.5) per hour they are away from mom. So it isn't much. How that is divided depends on the kid, the parent and the school. There are many threads on here how the teachers often don't know how breastmilk is different than formula and are often used to formula feeding. How many ounces and how often is daycare giving your baby a bottle? How old is your baby. </p> <p>We're on day 2 of daycare and trying to work out how often they should offer and how much. I had brought in an extra bag on Tuesday. I I thought they didn't use it but turns out they did. So looks like we might be short today. :( </p>
