@Beebug: Ohhh, oops! Yeah, we had that same problem with our BOB. Unfortunately, all i could do was put a heavy blanket over the middle so that the sides wouldn't have air coming through. I find that the canopy does a pretty good job of protecting them from the elements (i.e., rain, snow)...can't you still see LO through the plastic window?

@caffeinated: I meant something more like....the plastic covers....I have a variation of the first link you provided above, thank-you! I meant to cover more of the stroller I guess, like the weather shield does, only for the car seat set up!

@IcebergMom: LO is only two weeks, I definitely don't feel comfortable even thinking about her not being in the car seat yet, we are only sidewalk walking for a few months for now!

I used a heavy wool blanket today, thick, but still breathable....just cant see her! She slept the entire time today!

If your roads are pretty smooth I say it's prob okay to start pushing your babe (not running) in the non car seat position earlier than technically recommended! I started pushing mine when her head was sturdy with some towels wedged in around her.! Prob around 3 monhs. The BOB is so smooth. Have fun!

Here are two products i would recommend:
http://www.amazon.com/Jolly-Jumper-Sneak-Infant-Carseat/dp/B001LPNH2G
http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=12426543

The first is probably better for the winter though.

Hi ladies,

I received our BOB Friday and ordered the weather shield with it, upon reading instructions, weather shield cannot be used until LO is in the seat (we have her in the car seat + car seat adapter for now).

When folding over the canopy, it doesn't close her in well enough in the seat.

What do you do? We are in Ontario and will need the weather protection :) Looking for tips before experimenting too much :) TIA anyone!
