@CarrieLouWho: Boo about price increase!!!!

I got it on amazon in the US for $249 I think? And then ordered every accessory and it ended up costing just as much as just the stroller would cost in Canada, lol.

C is already not using the car seat adapter (stopped using it just before she turned 3 months) and I definitely haven't run in it yet, but she is a good and supported and secure in there facing forward. She sits up well (assisted!), but I can't imagine I will run with her in it until late Spring/Summer, aside from little spurts at a time on smooth, perfectly flat pavement mid-walk. We have it leaning back as far as it goes, which isn't that far back, and of course with how cold it's been she's packed in there pretty good with blankets too, so she is well supported with that too, even if she wasn't the harness does a great job.

It's the only stroller we have and I take it everywhere/use it constantly!

We have a BOB revolution and havent used it since LO was ~4 months old because we now have 4 feet of snow. But we had her sitting in it on rough gravel roads and she handled it just fine.

Amazon increased the price slightly today - Now the Revolution SE is $319 - $325. Why do they jumble the prices around so much!!! Ohhhh Amazon...

@CarrieLouWho: that's what I'm doing! All the doubles are $350-500 on CL but $450 on amazon brand new.

We did the same as @MerryC. The ride was really smooth so I walked on a rubber track when DS was 3.5 months. We started jogging at 5 months. It really depends on the baby. My son was more solid and strong, whereas my 8 month old daughter still hasn't gone in the BOB for running, just walks...her head control isn't as great and all over she isn't as strong.

@CarrieLouWho: dooooooo it :)

but in all honesty, i really love ours, and with a relatively small price difference, i'd rather get it new so you have the manufacturer's warranty and can get the color you want. i paid extra to get the orange for best visibility, and to get it to my house faster since we were having a good stretch of weather where i could use it in the late fall.

@MerryC & @MrsBells... now I'm rethinking it! Should I splurge and just get it new off Amazon (no shipping since it's prime eligible!) and I could get the color I want!
Hmmmmmmmm!!!!

Thanks @MerryC - glad to hear it worked at those ages for you. And the advice of doing a few trial runs is great!

I have a double BOB revolution. I used it for walks starting around 3.5 months, and jogging just recently at 6 months (road and sidewalk). My seats recline pretty far and with all the padding and the 5 point harness, they aren't going anywhere. Before going on a full run, I did some short stretches of jogging and watched their heads through the window and did not see any worrisome jostling. I find the suspension really smooth, and they definitely got bumped around more on some sidewalks in their double snapngo with the hard wheels!

I definitely wouldn't run offroad, or more than 30 min or so with it right now. But have taken them on an hour walk in mixed terrain. My kids are 17.5 lbs and sitting up unassisted at 6 months. I think the official jogging recommend from BOB is 8 months, and I would probably be more comfortable using it to full capacity around then.

@MsLipgloss - thanks! Glad to know that 3 strollers doesn't sound crazy. I also don't consider the snap n' go a real stroller!

@Mrs. YoYo, she actually started at $275 and I asked if she would take $250 so I don't know that she'll go down much more...

Bob's resale really well though don't they?

I would probably wait a couple more months to use it ... the seat is fairly upright for a baby that young, even if head control is good. Price seems decent but not amazing -- maybe you can talk her down a bit more? And we had 3 strollers, too -- the frame, a Maclaren for compact travel, and a BOB for jogging/fitness walking. They all served their different purposes well.

Even though she has good head control, because my LO is on the smaller side (she was 13 pounds 4 oz at her 4 month checkup), I will probably wait until 8 or 9 months. I may put her in a normal stroller seat before then (I have the B-Ready), but I wouldn't be comortable with her in a jogging stroller until she is much bigger/stronger.

FWIW, I don't think 3 strollers is overkill, especially when I don't consider a Snap-N-Go frame a *stroller*. :)

@CarrieLouWho: I would not put my LO in a jogging stroller at 4 months . . . head control while being held/ playing is different from head control in a moving stroller over uneven terrain. (My LO is 5 months.)

I've been watching Craigslist for Bob Strollers for a while and thought I'd ask a few questions to the Hive...

1. LO is 4 months old, sits up well assisted and has great head control. I know the recommendation is 6 months before using a jogging stroller, but when did you start using yours?
I would be using for walks and jogs on roads/sidewalks. Nothing heavy duty.

2. I found a 2011 Bob Revolution SE in good/great condition with a handlebar console included. She is asking $250 - is that a good deal? They're on Amazon right now for $313. In checking Craigslist it looks like Bobs in general are selling from $200-$300, so it's falling in the middle.

3. I have the City Mini already, but haven't used yet because we're still using the snap frame with the infant seat. Is it overkill to have 3 strollers... even though 1 will be outgrown soon.

TIA!
