Yes, sometimes when I'm not focused. The pants are tight and I have an azz even at my weight, LOL, and I worry men think I'm trying to get them to look at me. UGH.

@MrsBrewer: I was going to say exactly what @Danizaur: said... I used to be really self-conscious too, but once I realized that everyone else is too focused on themselves to focus on me I got over it. Good luck on your 5K!!

Everyone is self conscious to a point. I assure you more people are worried about how THEY look and aren't focused on others, even if it doesn't seem that way.

And if they are, then they're petty b-words who need a life, and who cares what those kind of people think anyway!

So most of my life I was a very tiny girl (I'm pretty average now)...but any time I see someone exercising (big or small, but especially those who are bigger), I am always cheering that person on and am generally inspired by them!

I agree with @Sugar.Biscuit: you are out there kicking ass, training for a 5k! I don't care what someone is wearing or how much they weigh, if they are running/exercising all I think is "damn! Get it girl." Because I'd never run - not even if I was being chased by a bear! Okay, that's an exaggeration, but I'm always in awe of runners :)

@Sugar.Biscuit: for real! I'm addicted to that Extreme weight loss show on abc! I get soooo encouraged! Although DH is a huge motivator too. He's a big guy....6'4 and about 300 lbs. and he works his ass out there with me. Although he's so athletic just by nature, but he's pushing me the entire time to keep going! Having a motivator helps! I bet your trainer is amazing at that!

@MrsBrewer: You'll get there. At one point I had lost 150 pounds. It took me 4 years. Just keep moving. I get courage by watching woman bigger than me working their butts off. If they can do it I can do it.

@Sugar.Biscuit: aww you're too sweet! That's exactly what DH keeps on telling me too! Most of the time like when I'm out there I don't care I'm just concentrating on staying alive! LOL! DH keeps saying too, at least we're out there exercising, and not sitting on our butts

I just keep thinking about the 60 lbs that I want to lose!

I never wear shorts. :/ i certainly dont want to start now.

Who gives a shit. You are rocking it cause you are using it! My trainer did a great job of redirecting me to the task at hand, getting fit. I'm 240...there is no hiding the bulge but I'm not training to impress anyone else, I'm doing it for me. Chin up and good luck with your 5k!

I'm a very self conscious person. Right now DH and I are training for our first 5k. We have been going on a nightly walk/jog. We bought all brand new workout clothes, we are sooo motivated to get in shape! We're both really excited about it!

I always just feel so self conscious in workout clothes though. Especially the shirts. I know they're supposed to be a little tight to grab the sweat away from you and everything. I think I just need to suck it up and ignore it. I'm just always thinking what other people are thinking or saying when they see me....it's petty i know.

Please tell me I'm not the only one??
