<description>&#60;p&#62;You can buy beef bones at the supermarket, most place have them, you just have to look.  I don't usually make beef broth, but when I do, I like to cook the bones first, to lighly roast them.  &#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;I usually make chicken stock - What I do is just use leftover rotisserie chicken and whatever meat remaining, add half an onion, 2-3 celery stalks, and 2-3 carrots (roughly chopped so it's easy to strain), cover to the brim with water in my crockpot (I don't even measure)... then leave it on overnight.  I like to slow cook it for at least 12 hours!  I strain it the next day, and separate it out into ziplock bags, lay flat and freeze.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;For buying bones in bulk, I always find them at the asian market!  They have the really good stuff like chicken feet which makes stock super gelatinous and healthy for you.&#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;Just strip the meat from a rotisserie chicken, cover with water and add in an onion and a few cloves of garlic, and leave in a crockpot overnight.  Some folks add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to help draw nutrients out from the bones.  You can't taste it in the final product.  Once you have the broth, strain it and add in chopped veggies for soup.  Add shredded chicken last since it's already cooked.  Check seasoning last since lots of rotisserie birds are already seasoned.

<description>&#60;p&#62;@MrsH:  I worked at a butcher shop in high school/early college, and we always had bones to give to people who asked. I don't think we ever charged, so go ahead and try! We always use the carcass from roast chicken to make stock. I think we take the chicken out before we simmer it with carrots, celery, parsley, etc.

<description>&#60;p&#62;@MrsH: You can (we will use leftover roast chicken carcass to make some stock), but I don’t think you get all the nutrition that way (though, I’m no expert!). &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you have a big/decent sized grocery store – ask at the meat counter. They may have bones for sale, even if they don’t put them out. Ours always has stuff “hidden” behind the counter.  :silly: &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;For chicken broth, just buying a whole chicken is the easiest. I remove the skin because it makes the broth less fatty (less to skim off the top later), but it isn’t necessary. Just boil with veggies for a few hours, and strain. Add ginger and garlic after for a really great broth that will make you feel better!

<description>&#60;p&#62;My favourite is using oxtail, beef or chicken bones. A butcher will sell beef bones. ETA: Do you have access to ethnic grocery stores? You should be able to find bones in asian markets.&#60;/p&#62;
