@SweetiePie: I am 12 weeks (heard baby's heartbeat this morning) and my boobs have never been sore. They have felt like they weigh a bazillion pounds and my nipples have sometimes bothered me... but nothing else really . Luckily I had severe morning sickness to comfort me in the absence of this symptom.

They told us in our last baby class that breast tenderness early on is more about viability of nursing than viability of the pregnancy. Everyone has such different symptoms early on, it's so hard to tell. My boobs didn't start hurting til 8 weeks or so, and then the soreness went away relatively quickly. Now they just feel huge (29 weeks).

@SweetiePie: They did eventually kick in not TOO long after I wrote this, maybe 5-6 weeks? Nothing too severe though, just uncomfortable. It's actually started to fade back out now at 9w.

@georgiegirl83: @jhd: Thanks ladies :-) I miscarried the last 2 times and an pregnant now with an IVF/PGD baby. It's hard not to worry but I need to just relax and let whatever happens happen :-) I'm slightly nauseous and hungry all day today, so I'll hang on to that as something good.

I'm 8 weeks and I have no soreness. Sometime I squeeze them to see if it hurts, and even then there's not much discomfort. I'm like you, I'm nervous and I want symptoms, but they haven't hurt yet and so far I'm still pregnant (knock on wood). Maybe it's just a symptom you won't get! That can be a good thing!

@Torchwood: Do you have sore/sensitive boobs yet? I'm 6w2d now and searching for symptoms. My last 2 pregnancies I had sore boobs by now, I'm pretty sure. This time, nada.
I'm sure it's fine but still hard to not wonder :-)

I used to have SUPER sensitive boobs...I couldn't sleep without a bra because my shirt would irritate them. For my first pregnancy my breasts hurt so bad I could barely stand to shower. After my son was born and I started breastfeeding I lost a lot of the sensitivity. Heck there are times that he bites that it barely even registers anymore. For my second pregnancy my breasts were so much less sensitive! In fact it worried me that the pregnancy wasn't as viable because of the lack of that symptom. I think having less sensitive boobs definitely correlates with less breast pain in pregnancy, but that's just my two cents, nothing scientific :-) Best of luck to you!!!

My first pregnancy didn't make it very far, but my boobs never hurt either. I don't have particularly sensitive boobs anyways, so even during TOM they don't really bother me. My nipples were more tender than usual, but only a bit.

Mine aren't particularly sensitive and I never had killer boob pain during pregnancy.

The only time mine ever were uncomfortable was during nursing while pregnant- it was more like the restless legs feeling but in my boobs instead. I hated that feeling so much that I weaned by 9 weeks pregnant.

@lovehoneybee: yeah, when she was little and I got engorged it would hurt when my milk let down.
Now I get nipple pain because she bites me or twiddles my nipples with her razor sharp finger nails.

I had breast heaviness in week 4 and starting at 4w6d I started having very painful nipples (totally different than typical pms boobs for me). Since then they have been very painful at times and other times not at all. I have been a little surprised that it seems to come and go. I'm only 5w3d currently.

I never noticed boob sensitivity or tenderness during pregnancy. Along those lines, I didn't find early breastfeeding to hurt at all, and the sensation wasn't something I would describe as painful (I kept thinking it was supposed to hurt a little bit!).

Congratulations!

My boobs have never been particularly sensitive (even after I had them pierced). During my successful pregnancy I only felt pain in them one single time, before I even got my BFP. It was a burning pain that only lasted a few minutes.

They also didn't really get big when I was pregnant...maybe a tiny bit fuller but I stayed the same bra size. They only got a little bit bigger when they were engorged after he was born.

That said, I'm of the mind that no symptom is guaranteed (unless you count lack of period as a symptom, and even that isn't guaranteed). Seems most women have sore boobs, but not all. Some women don't get bloated at all, some women get gorgeous hair, some women don't get morning sickness. Seems like it's all a crapshoot as to how your body processes pregnancy.

Mine didn't get sore with this pregnancy, but I chalk it up to the fact that I was only 3 months pp when I got ku again. But, every pregnancy is different! I didn't have a lot of symptoms at all with this LO, and with S and DS I knew right away I was pregnant...before my hpt.

Hang in there! Symptoms come and go, and in your second trimester, you might finally feel some soreness there!

This is kind of a weird question, but that's what HB is for, right (among other things)? Those weird questions that you can't really ask anyone else. So here's the thing, I've never had significant breast tenderness/pain with a pregnancy. My first made it to 9.5 weeks, so I feel like I should have. I mean, they didn't always feel great, but nothing major at all (my friend had to put a heating pad on her's because they hurt so badly). I've also never had anything terrible with pms.

I've been thinking about it (after 2 losses, I'm eager to have some symptoms this time, even though 4w2d is way early to have any major symptoms), and it occurred to me that I also have incredibly non-sensitive boobs. The main reason I got my nipples pierced a while back is because I heard increases sensitivity (it did, but not a ton). DH has to grab them pretty hard to get a reaction from me when he's trying to tease me. (TMI isn't a thing here, right?) So I was wondering if maybe it's related. Maybe with my sensitivity level being what it is, the tenderness I'm having is the equivalent of major pain to a "normal" woman? Has anyone else noticed anything similar?
