Last year, my son had just turned 2, and since there weren't too many age-appropriate holiday books, I provided a mix. I'm planning to buy 1-2 books a year to add to our collection. In the meantime, we borrow most of the 25 books from the library. We reused about half, but his attention span improved a ton over the last year, and some of the books were too baby-ish. We plan to try to reuse 18-20ish each year and throw a few new ones in the batch. Mostly holiday, but we have some in there like "Stopping By the Woods on a Snowy Evening" and "Owl Moon". We did it last year, and I traded a few of the books out...one or two that were way too long for his attention span, at least one that was misplaced during a move, and another two that we just didn't like.
