For Patient Zero, the premise is that the bad guys were able to concoct a shot that killed off all of the body, except the brain. Basically, turning people into zombies. They want to wreak havoc on the western world (very jihad style) so the DMS military team is sent to stop them. He loved the Game of Thrones trilogy, but when I try to look for similar books, none of them really seem his type. He's not opposed to magical or fantastical elements, but I don't think he really likes "Fantasy" books in general (if that makes any sense--he generally reads more crime or thriller books than fantasy.) I also never read GoT, so I don't really know what would be similar. I think he liked the pseudo-historical aspect better than he liked the fantasy aspect.</p> <p>Anyway, if after all that rambling, you have a suggestion, I'd love to hear it! </p>
