@rattles: @stine_ciro: I could try that... It would be the simpler solution!

@mediagirl: I'm thinking this could be our ticket to fame and Shark Tank! Seriously, though, I do think it's something that would be useful that my kid would love.

Let's make and market one, k? :-) I would love to give her this but then I then I think it may cause a tantrum if she can't get the books out of the pouch. Or get them back in...

I still don't know how they read in the dark...

My nephew (13 mo) pulls books into his crib from the table beside it. Works on his motor skills since he has to turn the book sideways to get it in the crib with him.

Is it possible to put a chair or nightstand by her crib? I accidentally realized this was an option for us when LO a) figured out how to play with the activity table next to her crib while still in it, and b) when she pulled a blanket I'd tossed on it into the crib with her during nap time the other day.

@Mamaof2: I've thought about that, but she does roll all over the place. I'd hate for her to roll over and have a book poke her in the eye.

Not an exact answer but can you just lay them at the end of the crib? When my DD went to sleep I would put some dolls at the end by her feet so when she woke they were there.

Obviously if your LO moves all around the crib this wont work!

LO is a fantastic sleeper, but she wakes up as if she's laying on hot coals. But, she loves reading books in her crib. I'm thinking of sewing some kind of pouch to hang from the crib rails that holds 2-3 books so that when she wakes up she can look at them. She's able to turn her light on from her crib too. Is this a terrible idea? Does something like this exist?
