No books to recommend, but having this issue with my 3 year old, he is suddenly obsessed with my belly! Touching it, laying on it, I don't know what it is about my stomach, but I'm trying to teach him that I have a personal bubble without being too mean since he basically just wants to cuddle.

I don't have any books, but I listened to a podcast about a child adjusting to kindergarten in the US after preschool in Nigeria and one of the biggest issues they had was the sharing concept (in Nigeria they literally give it, they don't expect it back) and personal space. They used youtube videos to help illustrate keeping your hands to yourself and such.

But honestly, it kind of sounds like a copout by the teacher. If your child is getting in others' faces or too close, they should be stepping back, not biting or pushing.

Any suggestion for a book geared towards the 3-4 year old range about respecting people’s personal space.

My DD is very affectionate and got bitten at school twice last week by different kids. When I spoke with her teacher she thinks it is because she is getting in other LO’s faces and they react by pushing or biting.
