http://bit.ly/2dTX5pA We really liked Green Light Readers when LO was starting out.
ETA: I would also like to recommend using the library for free and easy access to a variety of books tailored to LO's interests instead of reading the same ones over and over. That said, for this age, it is also good to find a book series (like Biscuit-another one of our early favorites) so as to give a familiar structure, but not exactly the same thing night after night. In addition, the novelty of 'new' library books can renew interest as well as having the old favorites around.

Open Court Reading program has Precodable and Decodable tear out books. It's like a big workbook with different stories you tear out and fold them into a book. My 3 year old loves reading them!

I have them because I teach and we use them as a resource, but I believe I've seen them on Amazon.

I ordered some on Amazon just recently: https://www.amazon.com/First-Little-Readers-Parent-Pack/dp/0545231493

My son likes them and they are the type of book we start our emergent readers on at my school.

I want to get my 4 year old some books she can read on her own, when she gets to that point. Something with just 2-3 words per page. I was told about Bob books, but wanted to hear other recommendations as well.
