"The Expectant Father " is the one dh picked - he likes it - it's dry practical and doesn't speak to men like they have no clue.

DH bought "Dad's Pregnant Too" at B&N... and then he'll probably buy a parenting book later on in the pregnancy/post birth.

The first book I got him was Dad's Guide to Pregnancy for Dummies. Hehehe he actually reads it quite thoroughly. http://www.amazon.com/Dads-Guide-Pregnancy-For-Dummies/dp/0470767901

Barnes and Noble had quite a few when I was there the other day, from the dumbed down, but somewhat funny My Boys Can Swim to several thicker, more in depth books. I didn't get to look through all of them, but I'll decongest be keeping an eye on this thread for everyone's suggestions.

I found Be Prepared, A Practical Handbook for New Dad's a good book for my husband. He's not a big reader but we had fun reading through this one together!

Honestly, we have had trouble finding a good "dad centric" book...all the ones we've looked at seem to dumb things down and are written as if men don't know anything about "feelings" and "maternal instinct". dH has been reading what to expect when you're expecting, as well as a book about birth through the first 2 years by dr sears. there's also plenty of info online!

I third strong fathers strong daughters! But the only book I have that DH has touched (and I have them all!) is an older good housekeeping pregnancy & baby book with tons of photos. Lol. Easy to read, I guess - he is a self-proclaimed book hater.

@chopsuey119: We have that book too :)

Mr. Jacks read Girlfriends Guide because he wanted to see what all the fuss was about. He said it really opened his eyes and he felt better prepared to deal.
