We had recently used Daniel tiger to assist in potty training so it timed well for us. I wish we had waited to bring it up. My son knows the new baby comes around Halloween, but to him that might as well be 2035. I'm 24 weeks and he commented yesterday that his sister was "never going to come." In hindsight I wish I had casually told him at 12 weeks so we could talk about it in front of him and not started focusing on "big brother prep" until around now. </p> <p>We read a couple of books - A Baby Sister for Herry (Sesame Street), The Baby is Here (Daniel Tiger), and The New Baby (Bernstein's Bears). I think there are very few books you can read that would prepare your child for this transition. We've been pointing out babies and she's been playing with them at daycare a lot. She now has a baby in her belly too (as does daddy).
