@Mrs. Lion: Agree with @Mamaof2: Something like this maybe? ... i removed one basket on the right to make more symmetrical too... I think a little color like the green here will help you out.

What about getting rid of the console in the middle all together and putting a tall floor vase and some other décor on the floor? It kind of stick out and doesn't really fit with the shelving to me.

Do you have any house plants? I would put one at the top of each case.

@Mrs. Lion: Just the remotes. Or a magazine. Or nothing. I just think having some wicker in the middle might be nice. It might looks stupid and you might hate it, but it never hurts to try

Can you try putting one of the baskets on the left below the tv. And then move one of the bottom baskets on the right to the other side bottom shelf. I agree with @Madison43: below the tv looks bare.

The shelf to the left, chair is near it. I would put the slim basket with the handle, second from the bottom on the shelf with the black h white printed saying. Then center the shelf that remains.

Do you have anything colorful that can peak out from the baskets? Even if you have to rummage through toys or cloth napkins.

I agree with above and would put the baskets on the bottom half. Also, i would add some coffee table style books instead of novel/paperbacks stacked vertically.

I really like Emily Henderson's shelving style. Here are some tips in this post: https://stylebyemilyhenderson.com/blog/how-to-style-your-bookcase-if-youre-a-hoarder-a-collector-or-a-book-worm

Is there any way you can organize them so all the baskets are on the bottom half of the shelves? Symmetry is really pleasing, so I'd aim for that.

Maybe move 2 of the low long baskets off the shelf and onto the top of the middle cabinet? I think that having so many baskets on the shelfs but nothing on the cabinet makes the proportions look a little off. I would just put the tv remotes and maybe a magazine or 2 in the cabinet baskets so they look like they have a purpose but are not cluttered.

I'd thin down the baskets. Too many implies that you don't have very good storage space.

So we decided to put our house on the market and met with a stager today! She said our shelves were fine and she liked the baskets but gave some vague advice about removing family pictures, adding accessories, and decluttering.

This is what I have so far....anybody with a good eye want to offer opinions? would you add/remove/rearrange anything? :)
