I wished I had skipped all of the pregnancy books and not wasted my time on them. In hindsight I should have read more "oh crap what do I do with this tiny human" books.

This one is really for after the baby is born, but I always give the book Baby 411 to my friends when they have their first baby. I literally ordered it from my hospital bed when my LO1 was born a month early and I realized I had no idea how to take care of her.

The Bradley book is great if you're aiming for an intervention free birth. Baby 411 is a handy, easy baby guide written by pediatricians/moms.

I kept feeling like this too but being pregnant made me lazy so I really just read and asked questions on here. The ladies are all super helpful. I did keep freaking out to my hubby in early labor that I had no idea what I was doing and how was I going to care for our tiny human.

My lo is now 10 weeks old and flourishing! I had literally never held a newborn before I had her, other than thinking oh my good what do I do when they handed her to me were doing so well. When they get here you have help and you figure it out as they grow.

Baby 411 does help assuage any freak out moments for me usually tho

Eta I totally ramble but hopefully this was a bit helpful

Dr Newman's Guide to Breastfeeding was helpful. I also liked having some kind of "The First Year" book on hand - I'd read about the coming month, just to get a sense of what to expect - I stopped doing it after a few months when I got comfortable but it was nice to have.

I'm 23 weeks along with my first and starting to realize how clueless I feel about how this all works... I've got all the pregnancy books, but what about once the kid is ready to come out? Birthing plans (or lack thereof), what to expect at the hospital/what to bring, all that comes with bringing a tiny human back home like breastfeeding, sleep, ETC.

Feeling a little overwhelmed! What are some of the best books or resources out there that helped you navigate bringing your first babe into the world (besides the wonderful world of HelloBee of course)

Thank you ladies!
