I just figured it would be easy and maybe more sanitary to put it in the dishwasher. It does get a little gunky in the tray...but I guess if I hand washed it more often it wouldn't get so gross :-)<br /> Maybe first I'll try to be better about hand washing and then I can experiment in the dishwasher if I just can't get my act together.
