we used a booster for the first time when DD was 15 months old at a wedding reception. she did well and sat through the entire meal.
we used one again a year or so later and she did well. wanted to get down and roam maybe the last 5 mins of our meal.

I think around 18 months if we were in a place where it was more convenient than a high chair. around 22 months or so she started refusing high chairs altogether but will still do a booster (we call it a "big girl chair"). they corral her a little better than just sitting in the chair/booth but that happens a lot too.

We used the high chair as long as we could talk LO into it. One day he decided he didn't want to use one anymore and hated the booster, so just always used a regular chair.

We never did. She went straight from high chairs to sitting in the seat (she is scared of a booster) at 2 1/2.

A year and 18 months were both disasters for us, and he is great in restaurant high chairs. He's finally doing better at 2, but we ended up buying a booster off Amazon that has a seat belt and chair buckles, so we can give him the illusion of being buckled in, which works best.

Right around 2 for both, but they would whine like crazy in their high chairs. With the second one though, we've actually found it better just to let him stand in the booth next to DH. He will eat this way too with no complaints.

How old was your LO when you started letting him/her sit on a booster at a restaurant? C will sit in a high chair during her meal, but is at that squirmy age where we either walk her around the restaurant after we order (if we're seated at a table), or let her sit in the booth next to us.

I guess I don't want to ruin a good thing we've got with the high chair once the food comes (I've had friends whose kids would refuse the high chair after being able to eat "at the table") and I'm not sure if she could handle a full meal at this age (she's 19 months).

Just a quick check to see when it worked for you guys!
