If you have a lot of respiratory issues, ask your doctor about broncho-vaxom. That us what our pedi recommended for my kids last year. When I looked it up online there was a lot of evidence of it working. I am outside the US so not sure about availability.

Might try Sambucus/black elderberry... I don't have any great (other than anecdotal) evidence that it works...but it tastes good and I don't think there's any significant potential for harm.

ETA: But more importantly, sleep, balanced diet, and frequent hand-washing!

ETA (again): But here is some research to support its use, along with a putative mechanism:

Lots of healthy food and sleep... Exposure to germs in small doses actually helps over time. Unfortunately daycare is not exposure in small doses....so your best bet will just to be vigilant about letting LO get enough sleep and fluids so that their body is in the best possible position to fight off what's to come.

Quarantine? Every time we've gone out this winter, we've come home with something awful (flu, fever, cold, gastro). I'm honestly no help but I know a mom that always carries antibacterial wipes and washes her & her son's hands constantly and they haven't gotten sick this winter so maybe she's on to something!

Unfortunately, I think the only thing you can do is feed them well and try to make sure they get enough sleep. Other than that, the only way to boost immunity is for them to get sick :crying: My son is starting daycare tuesday and has been sick all week with a virus and double ear infection - definitely not looking forward to whats to come. I've been adding probiotics to his feeds to offset the effects of the antibiotics.

With 6ish weeks until I return to work I'm dreading the onslaught of sickness that is bound to come our way. Anyone have any awesome tips on boosting your LO's immunity?
