Or muffins! DH did officer training and sure, he had a crappy little kitchen, but it was more like "pop in a frozen lasagna and hope it doesn't explode". Any kind of snacks are always good, but be sure to find out if it is allowed and send enough for her squad. If snacks aren't allowed, you may get around that by sending cough drops, like Ludens Wild Cherry Flavored Cough Drops. Letters and pictures, of course. If you happen to have a cute picture of her, send that.
