For me, the boppy seemed useless next to MBF. And my baby was never interested in lounging/sitting in the boppy either. I had a hard time positioning LO high enough with the Boppy when she was teeny tiny, so I tended to slouch over to her. Either that or prop the Boppy up on top of 4-5 other pillows, which was too much of a hassle. I find it so much more comfortable than a Boppy. I also have a travel boppy and it is great but the Brest Friend is so perfect for nursing especially early on. </p> <p>For propping her up and such, I used the "free nursing pillow" you get codes for wen you register (you end up paying $10 in shipping). I used the boppy during the day on the couch and the MBF at night. I think the MBF gave me more stability when I was a bit sleepy but I really liked the boppy too. I used it for much longer and for more things than just BFing. And maybe I'm just lazy but I would recommend two. I had one for the living room and one for the bedroom/nursery. The Boppy was a gift and it sucked in the beginning with breastfeeding. It wasn't comfortable and I felt like it made things worse so I ended up ordering My Breast Friend. I LOVE THAT THING. I used it for about 5-6 months and we used the Boppy as a place to put LO down on the couch occasionally. It was suggested to us during our LO's first peds visit when my milk didn't come in right away. It was one of the best purchases we made. DH used the Boppy for bottle feeding because it was comfortable for him.
