Both my LOs have pretty severe tongue ties (WJ can barely stick his tongue out) but neither have had problems with bottles. WJ used Playtex Nursers and LMW has used the Medela nipples and Playtex Nursers.

Sorry I'm not more helpful :( Have you tried different speeds of nipples? Different temperatures of the milk?

I've had friends whose LOs took the bottle just fine as newborns but refused after they got used to the boob. It may be bottle boot camp time :(

DD is 9 weeks old and has been refusing bottles for the past 3-4 weeks. While we didn't give her bottles daily, we had no problems whatsoever her first 5 weeks. We've tried several types of bottles, having DH give the bottle, and so on, but she still ends up gagging and refusing it. The absolute most we can get her to take is an ounce at a time. It's so frustrating...I keep thinking back as to how she took 5 oz the night of Christmas and wonder what suddenly changed.

Although she has no problem breastfeeding, the LC at the hospital says she has a tongue tie. At our 2 month appointment this past weekend, the pediatrician acknowledged that maybe she'd call it a slight tongue tie, but advised against doing anything at this point.

I just have to wonder if maybe this isn't partially causing her recent issues with bottles? Does anyone have experience with this or have recommendations on particular bottles that might work?

Right now, it's bad enough that I can't leave her with DH for more than two hours at a time. But I go back to work in three weeks and am starting to really panic about daycare and her being able to transition to bottles!
