I used to send the 4 bottles with 6 oz but I kept getting the fourth bottle back undrank...undrunk...unused. The sitter also has a couple of frozen baggies in case of needing a little extra here and there plus a frozen 4oz "bottle" if we were running late or are picking up late one day. He is at the sitter for about 10 hours so eats just over 1 oz for each hour he is there. They are pretty keen on getting the babies on a schedule of eating every 3 hours, and I had nursed on demand. I'm ok w/ the schedule, just trying to to determine the right amount of milk to send. </p> <p>The first day I sent 5 bottles, each w/ 3 oz. She only had 3 bottles, so 9 oz. I felt like that wasn't a lot/enough (but that's just going on my gut). So I increased to 4 oz in each bottle, just sent 3 bottles (12 oz). That seems to be working, but she's drinking the whole bottle at each feed. </p> <p>I read the Kelly Mom article/calculation tool, and she's on par with their calcs... just curious what other moms are sending. </p>
